i've never written any poetry, but this just came to me. originally i put the title The Secret Garden, but changed it. needs more i think In your secret garden,
a flower grows,
Tumid, blooming -
a scarlet rose.
Planted there
to keep you mine.
Its petals fade
in yellowed time.

i thought it was, intentionally, flowery, nice, etc but that the word tumid was wrong, and would make people think there was more going on. |
