i've never written any poetry, but this just came to me. originally i put the title The Secret Garden, but changed it. needs more i think

In your secret garden,
                 a flower grows,
Tumid, blooming -
                 a scarlet rose.
Planted there
                 to keep you mine.
Its petals fade
                 in yellowed time.

glad you liked this. just one question that's important to the poem. did you realise it was about domestic violence?

i thought it was, intentionally, flowery, nice, etc but that the word tumid was wrong, and would make people think there was more going on.
