The lie is in your eyes
By Evangeline
05 June 2005
This was written for a friend about someone who cannot see how much they have alienated and hurt that friend (and others).

You  look and say you love me
It is not me that you see

It is an image that isn't me at all
Someone to be at your beck and call

Know me too well, you seem to think
What you really know is your drink

I say go away
You take it as a game to play

You call yourself  princess
    and witch
All I can say
    Is you're the queen b***h

It's time you realize
The lie is in your eyes

Not something I'd like to have to face up to, I don't think I'd have the strength of will to tell a close friend what I thought about (a third party) if I could see that they were being hurt by that person.
Welcome to the site, Evangeline, I look forward to reading more of your contributions (your poetry puts mine to shame!!) :)
