Dedicated to Gerard Connolly, a lost Celtic soul!! Diary of a Bacchanal (Part 13) – Unlucky for Gerardconnolly!!!
Oh dear Mr. Connolly, how our words return to haunt us!
Alf Ramsey! Bobby Charlton! Alex Ferguson! George Best! Wayne Rooney! Rio Ferdinand! Ryan Giggs! Malcolm Glazer! WE GAVE YOUR BOYS ONE HELL OF A BEATING!!!!
My feeling is that when you have been arse kicked into the real world come Tuesday night, you will similarly come to realise that no amount of alcohol can disguise want of talent; want of reality; not to mention want of perspective. In truth I do not think you yourself could have any problem with the first of these cautions. However I fear the latter two may force you to go on believeing that : ' The Glasgow Celtic will be there' !...... There is the real curse of drink. Fairyland!!! Abominable!! Slan! Hear I am, arse kicked into the last 16 of the Champions League. Your mob still have to get something against Benfica! Hahahahahhahah!!!
Your team got what they deserved, absolutely nothing! Showboating with no end product, up steps Nakamura and it’s “pick that one out of the onion bag Van Der Saar”!!
Saha couldn’t hit a coo’s arse with a banjo!
Hail! Hail! The Celts are here, What the hell do we care? What the hell do we care? Hail! Hail! The Celts are here, What the hell do we care now? For it’s a grand old team to play for, And it’s a grand old team to say, That if you know your history, Its enough to make your heart go, Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! We don’t care if we win lose or draw, What the hell do we care? For we only know, that there’s going to be a show! AND THE GLASGOW CELTIC WILL BE THERE!!!!
Tremendous!
SLAN!

typical.... Written by JourneyAtNight (314 comments posted) 21st November 2006 | I was waiting for something like this, hee hee. I quickly escaped the living room when it came on, although I could hear my dad and brother making celebration noises downstairs. Have to say, I'm quite chuffed that we managed to beat ManU! JAN | I should like Written by ellipinnock (1753 comments posted) 21st November 2006 | to draw your attention to a previous comment made by Mr Connolly on your Celtic piece 'I would gladly go without my tackle if the Bhoys even manage to get a ball in the box given United's defensive superiority. I shall say no more.' Do I hear screaming on the wind? E ps. don't the mighty make a magnificent thud as they fall on their arses? Up the Celts!!! | Written by Phil (6836 comments posted) 21st November 2006 | More like crash on their arses. Only saw the second half Oli. Dragging one of the whelps across town earlier. Not partial either way to be honest - but it's quite a thng to see the Reds beaten in this match. I have to confess, I'd have put money on the opposite result. How about a rematch in the final? All the best, Phil. | Written by Garrulous (108 comments posted) 21st November 2006 | Well Oli. Your bhoys certainly taught us a thing or two tonight. Like how to scream like a girl, fall to the floor and roll around like a performing poodle even though no one had touched them. I suppose you'll try and disown Jarosik as a foreigner though. Outplayed and outclassed you resort to cheating but hey that's sadly the way football is nowadays. Fantastic free kick from Mr Nakamura but you'd think VDS would have learned from last time. Saha needs to fall on his sword. Congratulations. Gar. | Dignity Gar, Dignity... Written by Talisker (1328 comments posted) 21st November 2006 | In defeat as in victory. TWO dodgy penalties over the two ties!!! Lots of showboating, hardly an effort of goal, bunch of over-payed prima-donnas! At least 4 of your individual players EACH cost more than the entire Celtic team! Come come Gar! And you complain about a dubious free kick decision? Oli | Je ne regrette rein Written by gerardconnolly (1186 comments posted) 21st November 2006 | How vulgar. But how typical. Such low and mean spirited lack of magnanimity. Thankfully I, as all Manchester United supporters, am able to raise above such displays of petty crowing. Quite frankly, the result matters not a row of beans. It is no more than a temporary short aberration, a mere setback ahead of our winning the Group and progressing to the Knock Out Stages. Sadly along with the Glasgow Celtic, it would appear, who find themselves in the strange position of playing in the Big Boys Playground. Not for long, I fear, since I also confidently predict that they will be dumped out on their Whitehall Farces within a game to some poxy gaggle of no hope cowboys from beyond the Urals. I believe the term is Hubris. A punishment for their insolent lesse-majeste. You see My Dear Oli and camp followers, what you fail to appreciate is that whilest form is temporary; class is permanent. But much you would know about class, I have to say? Shopping at Tesco!? Really! Need One say more!!? No, no. The real tragedy in this most unseemly and ungracious debacle is the the Glasgow Celtic have taken a place which some other club would have beed able to put to good use. Believe me as a red in the womb Manchester United supporter so I may speak authoritatively on matters of soccer, there is about as much chance of the Bhoys reaching the final of the Champions League as of a cabbage letting himself in by my front door and coming and pissing in my carpet slippers. As for United's allowing themselves to be wrongfully and shamefully rooked. I put that down to their inexperience in playing at small pokey venues such as Celtic Park. Of course I have never been there myself, but I am told it only holds about 60,000. Not at all like Old Trafford. I believe the common term is 'slumming'. Slan! PS Congratulations!
| Hubris Boobris! Written by Talisker (1328 comments posted) 22nd November 2006 | I believe the term is "sour grapes". Don't don those carpet slippers without a cursory sniff! BTW, how are the crown jewels? Has the Sweet Kitty Kat, the Belle of Fermanagh got her new earings yet? Oli | Dignity Written by Garrulous (108 comments posted) 22nd November 2006 | I have now had the benefit of a good night's sleep and the chance to compose myself... No. No good I'm still feeling bitter. However I shall now direct my anger at our boys rather than yours Oli. Well done again. Gar. |
