Best Drummer.

This poem has been written on an impossible hot day.

It was like having a glass of cool poetry.

It's a steamy, sweltering muggy day.

Glimmering drops of sweat bead my way.

I look forward to magical refreshing rain.

To end the heatwave in this life lane.

Imagine clouds filled with firemen.

And disco songs danced by icewomen.

The music is delightfully cool

when it flows on a swimming pool.

Hot when it's cold, chilly in summer.

It beats any pain, it's my best drummer.

It's the breeze of my emotions.

It's the wisdom of my notions.

There's always a fireplace beside a fridge.

Comfortable lives fill the gap as a bridge.

Opposite extremes make it milder.

Indifference and passion get it wilder.

Beer and skittles lead to a bed of roses.

If rain and sunshine are the right doses.

I really liked the start of this poem and some of the use of words is very clever. But I felt that the ending sort of lets it down.
