First post, no idea which category it belongs to. Anyway, I wrote this a couple of months ago when I was feeling a little lost. Was just wondering what it said to everyone else. :)

[EDIT:
Changed category, didn't feel like intruding, haha : )
[/EDIT]

Every heart and every soul tells a story. Every mind shows a map. A map of the person it controls. And when something drastic happens, when some big decision has to be made, the map is opened. And the soul within is revealed. The map with all the tiny, criss-crossing lines labelled as "Friends". The lines labelled as "Happy Times". The lines labelled as "Sad Times". The lines labelled as "Promises", "Lost Respect". Some come to abrupt halts while some end, promising and gay. There are also those which lead off the map to nowhere. And those lines are where all the problems begin.

A person's heart beats in the center of its body. A person's soul lives in every nook and cranny. Everywhere somebody goes, she leaves a little piece of herself. Every place and every life she touches, she leaves a tiny memory. And when that person leaves, all the tiny pieces of herself come together to form a star. A tiny star, dull and lifeless; until that person returns to where she truly belongs. And until she is able to bear her soul upon those very lines and complete that map of her mind, her star will not shine.

I don`t know if you intended this piece for here Smile because if so then I`m sorry but it is a long way from a spoof news story, which this slot is specifically for. Sorry.
