This airy piece was a breeze to write. It's not a wind up. Wind, the process by which air moves from here, to there. No more, no less, no fuss. An air hole there, a gust, and now it's filled, satisfied. All that extra air cannot abide, where it can find no space, so hastens to another place. To some this may come as a blow, (Oh no! A pun!), those in the know, who talk of pressure, high and low, pin symbols to a board and go; "this system is building, and this one yielding" Rubbish! Cast out the barometer! Weather does not abide by letter, of any law, but by it's own free will, sometimes it moves, sometimes is still. A weather forecast? Try a window. Look out and see wind fast or slow, then choose a fitting coat and hat, based empirically on just that. Oli 03/12/06
