Sweet Nectar

Scarlet
Is the color
Of tears that waltz
Down your crimson skin
Leaving a trail of
Forbidden bliss behind

It is the desires
Lingering in the air
That splash
Violently around us
As the reality of truth sets in
That even the “heavenly”
Long for
The flavor
Of sweet nectar
Glistening on your pouty lips

Sorry, not a fan- too much flowery language which doesn't seem to convey a whole lot of meaning.

I really liked the image of the tears waltzing down the skin.

Best wishes,

Not a fan of too much flowery language either. However, the first four lines intrigued me, so I reread this a few times. Actually, the more I read, the more I like. Clever idea.

All the best, Phil.

Ms 'roxyhope', another offering from a romantic taking her heart for a brisk workout, to keep them both healthy. Wonderful read, thank you (stay beautiful).

Bit overdone for me, sorry. Started interestingly but then didnt go anywhere very mcuh IMHO.

The structure looks a bit like a Chirstmas tree to me! (that's not meant as a criticism as such...i just got a bit distracted - my own fault!)
