The Last Waltz
By maipenrai
11 June 2005

For our friends outside the UK please note .

The word "Punter" is sometimes used by "working girls" when refering to their clients

I was on my hands and knees

Begging, please dont do me this way

but the Punter said maybe I should

blow his horn as the band played

Waltzing Matilda

So I blew and blew till my lips

were raw and bloodyand the Punter said

maybe I should blow somemore

when I caught my second breath as

the band played Jerusalem

the second time around

and I felt like a percussion drum

as the Punter beat down on my

hanging head and all he would say was

you are not blowing any more

and then I was slipping away

fading away as the band played

The Last Waltz for Me

Have you thought of posting this in "Romantic Poetry"?

Seriously the poem clearly shows what an empty pointless and unpleasant thing thing life can become when form has no significant function.

He should have bought a sex toy.
