Our parents Journey
By sheppard
11 June 2005
My parents have always lived for to-day! This is dedicated to them.

They met in a park, whilst still at school,

She laughted at his jokes, he pushed her off a wall,

The war was on money was tight

For the couple a wedding soon in sight.

The war now finished a new mouth to feed

With great determination they strived to suceed.

A pawnbrokers flat in WC2

It was time to move to pastures new.

So out to the sticks to own their own home,

Cos after 10 years the family had grown

Again they moved, this time for good,

They reached retirement it felt as it should.

To travel and visit was their next task,

At 82 they went to Australia, what a blast!

Not many people spend a great life,

But not the case for our Dad and his wife,

Our Parents have coached, driven and flown,

Life's too short to stay at home.

This is a wonderful journey for your parents. At 82 flying to Austrailia? Wow! This is a beautiful dedication and I enjoyed reading it very much indeed.

Lovely pictures you paint of your parents. I'm sure you realise how lucky you are.
Just a little thing I might suggest,
I think buy could replace the first own in line nine.
Thanks for reminding me of my parents too, sadly no longer with us.
