A very short poem I wrote. I am trying to get back into poetry.
Every morning I wake and ask why we are here. This is not my country, these are not my people. Every night I hope to wake up in the states. These are not my people, this is not my war. Every day more of my brothers and sister are killed. This is not my war, this is not the way. |
