Does he take Sugar?
By oxy

How I feel sometimes when my wife takes me out in my wheelchair.

I'm not deaf or dumb
and I'm daft as some,
I also thank the Lord that I can see,
but when I go out in my chair
why do people always stare,
and talk to everybody except me.

You can see that I can't walk
but you don't need legs to talk,
I love to chat and like to share a joke.
but I get very bored,
when I feel I've been ignored
its true there really is "nowt as queer as folk".

There is great courage and determination in these lines.

Its an emotional account of what you must face every day.

The poem is very simple yet homes in on the ignorance factor of people.
