Gary The Frog

Gary the frog wore a wig,

Even though he was wobbly and big.

He liked his disguise,

It helped him catch flies

But it made him look just like a pig.

He went shopping to buy some new clothes

And some varnish to paint his green toes.

He bought a blue suit,

And in it looked cute,

Then laid out his new things in neat rows.

Gary went home to jump in the tub,

Later he was meeting Sue at the pub.

Sue was the toad

Who lived up the road,

Whom he’d promised to take out for some grub.

They sat up to the table ready to dine

With a bottle of ice cold expensive wine

An insect flew past

And ever so fast

Gary screamed out "don’t touch it, its mine"!

With out thinking his tongue shot out

It was then that Sue decided to shout

You arrogant brute

In that awful suit

Yes you, you’re ugly, green and stout

I’ve been sitting here studying you’re hair

And have decided it’s not really there

As for wearing a wig

Well, you look like a pig

Tightly wedged in that silly blue chair

Good try Amanda. Some of this doesn't quite scan but I'm sure that's easily fixed.

Sorry Amanda, I have absolutely no idea why I put the above comment about spelling as you have done it quite correctly. What a fool I am. :eek

No, I think you were right Phil. "You're" in the fifth to last line should be changed to "your."

Even though the rythmn of the poem was just a bit off at some points, I found the story very cute!
