that day, the night we met

just a little love poem - wanted to keep it simple

That day, the night we met

I'm sorry to say
there were no fireworks
that day,
the night we met.
No major pyrotechnics:
the earth,
I recall
did not move,
and the only
rumbling I heard
came from
the belly of someone nearby.
Yet, there was
something
between you and me
I distinctly remember
THAT FIRST LOOK
-         it was more than just a glance -
it was
everything
invisibly gorgeous -
the way
gravity
is.

Hi Alan

This is a beautiful poem. If more people shared and cared then the world would be a better place wouldn't it.
Lovely poem. Thanks for the read.

LL :)
