I do not know love...

I DO NOT KNOW LOVE

I do not know love in spring...
when the flowers are in bloom
and their fragrance dances
on the wings of a breeze.

I do not know love in summer...
when the sun comes out to play
and the sound of children laughing
is the music in the heat.

I do not know love in fall...
when the leaves are flying free
and the day turns into night
in the silence of a kiss.

I do not know love in winter...
when virgin snow falls on upturned faces
and angels are made in the
form of humans hands.

I do not know love in all its’ forms...
friendship, tenderness,warmth or passion
in the eyes of another
or the safety of an embrace.

I do not know love
love does not know me
we are strangers to the other
yet walk on the same path, unknowing.

Treads close to cliche in places but I like the simplicity - it's quite appealing.

I liked this very much. It's also a very sad piece. Simple, touching and effective. Phil
Cornflakes

Why do you not know love, dear pandrop?

Nice try, but somehow unfulfilling, and as Sweet Elli states, somewhat cliched.

Not unpleasant to read though, like eating cornflakes, but not the crunchy nut ones.

how sad! I think you managed to write about sadness without sounding juvenile and weepy, as many authors tend to.
I think the last stanza could be better. It seems to say less than it purports to, and doesn't connect enough to the body of the work.
