The freedom that death brings
By Herbert
15 June 2005
Being depressed can put strange, but, at the time, perfectly reasonable thoughts into your head.  I've been through it. Still going through it, but I'm working on it.

To be free of the pain

To curl up and sleep

Never to be the same, again

The tablets by my side

So easy to swallow

Never to be caught up in the tide, again

The knife gleaming brightly

Just one cut

I don't want to bleed slighty, again

The options are endless

It's hard to chose

I Just want is happiness, again

I see the look in your eyes

So full of contempt

I hear your goodbye's, again

I feel stronger now

Better than I was

But, to you I will not bow, again

pithy; accurately portrayed; economic and effective, wihtout being overly sentimental or self-pitying.
