I have terrible horrific dreams, very, very vivid and real, this is one of them. There must have been fifty of them burning cars, burning people running screaming silent screams on this highway of fire, the stink of burning flesh filled my head on this summers night. in the shadows stood my long dead parents and grandparents watching silently as children burned and mothers wept tears of flame, my parents held aloft babies in their skeletal arms for me to see before the flames consumed all. |
is this Written by tabarejos (21 comments posted) 22nd January 2007 | | A real nightmare? Or a poem about? =) | Nightmare Written by maipenrai (783 comments posted) 22nd January 2007 | A Real Nightmare, I sadly get many, they wake me up, I get a drink and make notes of what I have dreamt Thanks for your comment Bernie | wtf Written by tabarejos (21 comments posted) 22nd January 2007 | You know what, I do the same. Everytime I have nightmares (or dreams that are very significant) I immediately note them down on my phone, so as to not lose the important beautiful details. I am really curious as to how my mind works and studying my dreams helps me know. It’s surprising I’m not the only one…
| Nightmare Written by maipenrai (783 comments posted) 22nd January 2007 | | to tell the truth i find it a wee bit scary some of the stuff i dream, make's me wonder what the hell is going on in my head | exactly Written by tabarejos (21 comments posted) 22nd January 2007 | | dreams are the way you think subconsciously. and it's scaring me that i always dream of obscene stuff. | Written by ellipinnock (1753 comments posted) 22nd January 2007 | Well im glad this wasnt one of my dreams. The final few lines cast a powerful if highly disturbing image. Elli | Written by Phil (6730 comments posted) 22nd January 2007 | I dream in jibberish - never understand a thing. As Elli, glad this was yours and not mine. This immediately brought to mind something I was reding about the other day, I fact there was something on here about it too. Some road in Iraq I think that the Americans bombed when there were loads of peopke fleeing - I forget the details. Perhaps you'd read or heard about the same thing. Last four lines the most powerful. It's often the personal or specific that bring home the horror in the general. Does that make sense? Phil.
