This is a kind of transcription (from memory) of a rather one sided dialogue overheard in the local Job Centre Plus - I'm afraid that I'm reduced to scrimping amongst the great unwashed, God love 'em. Hopefully not for too long.

The TK Maxx gig sounds OK, 10% off all the gear too.

Aye man, nae borra,
You still in Faudhoose?
Where yi stighin' man?
Bran' new man, topper!
A goat a joab man,
'sin TK Maxx man,
Pure soarted.
Dayin' the tills 'n' shelfs
five-forty-five an oor man,
cannae beat it,
a kin git the bus,
jist roon' the coarner,
stoaps right ootside TK's man,
'am jist doon tae sign aff,
bit ah'll make shoor a git
every fuckin' penny fae these
bastuds man, every penny.
Cloves allowance, travel,
every fuckin' penny man.
You seen wee neely lately?

Very funny Oli, had me howling. Not quite sure how it fits under poetry, but great stuff nevertheless.

A fine piece of Scottish hutzpah to celebrate Burns night.
Hope you enjoy your neeps and tatties as the piper pipes in the haggis. Have a good one

I'm off the great unwashed at the moment - after a run in with a particularly bastardly one recently.

Liked this. Had a picture of your man as I was reading.

Phil.
