First Love #9 Julie
By Phil
29 January 2007
High school, early eighties.

First Love #9 Julie

Only ever admired from afar,
Her legs were legendary:
Long, smooth, flawless
And topped with
The epitome of pertness.
They fired many nocturnal adventures.

Becoming less poetic and more "organic".

Love it !

I've read all these love poems now - and reading them all together at once was great fun.

I wonder if any of your previous loves will read these lines and recognise themselves in them.

And there the young Phil grew less romantic. Nice poem though. Seems you had quite a lot of crushes!
These lucky girls, immortalized in verse

These remind me just a tiny bit of that Julio Iglesias song -- but only a tiny bit, and they are, I hardly need to say, better.

I wonder if anyone I knew from high school is saying 'Whatever happened to her, that skinny girl with the bushy hair and awful clothes? What was her name, anyway . . .?' Somehow I doubt it.

Loved it - especially the epitome of pertness!! I'll be sad when you're done with these :)

Thank you to the work awaiting review section. Very enjoyable.

But, dammit, I've got to find the others now.

With Wltshr, I look forward to finding the others!

Great piece!

And thanks for your resent 'psychological' comments on my recent effort - not amateur at all, very much to the point!

Cheers!

John
