High school, early eighties. First Love #10 Adele She played guitar two hours a day And had the hardest finger tip pads. She’d push her boyish hair Behind one ear and frown. From opposite ends of town I was never quite smooth enough For this sophisticate.

Written by gerardconnolly (1186 comments posted) 29th January 2007 | I enjoyed reading this Phil. But it doesn't have that spark of riotous potential of ' Phil and His Fabulous Phlem '. The Trotters will need you soon. Light up at the match when they are 0-5 down to Aresnal. A good gozzing showert of the magic stuff and every player in a white shirt will be netting. Like they say on the terraces of the Reebock when Bolton is well behind..... ' By gum, Phil! Thas'll need t' give 'em a gobful o' gozz ' Phil always obliges with a downpour of his Fabulous Phlem. After a sprinkling of that men become Gods...... Slan! | Written by kevg (45 comments posted) 29th January 2007 | Another good snapshot here Phil. I like the sly rhyme, thrown in there, just to mix things up a bit. Cheers, Kev

E | Written by Phil (6730 comments posted) 29th January 2007 | Not many more. My memories are auditioning! Thanks for the comments. Phil. | Written by fellpony (1616 comments posted) 29th January 2007 | you should reprint these in a collected work once you get to the end - errr - how many are there going to be! and how many of these ladies will read on here and chase you down the road with a heavy frying pan? I think the tease of these (oops) is the numbering, and seeing the development of your attitude to "first love", rather than reading each individual poem. But I'm hooked, Phil; here's to #11. | Written by Talisker (1326 comments posted) 29th January 2007 | I like this one best. The girl, not the poem. Oli | Written by milz (35 comments posted) 30th January 2007 | | this is cool. How inspiring? what persuades u to write this? hei. thanks for all your comments.. | Written by LynB (435 comments posted) 31st January 2007 | I've been catching up with these poems, Phil, and I think they're brilliant. They describe the girls' personalities to a T - short but very sweet! |
