The Tortoise and The Hare

You take one step at a time
and learn to walk before you can run
I just jump in leaps and bounds
I find it far more fun

Maybe life has taught you
that once bitten is twice shy
But if I'm going to fail and fall
I'd rather it be from up high

You keep a check on your feelings
and don't jump in feet first
I just feed my passions
'cos I'm hungry and have a great thirst

You always prefer to ponder
and consider it for a while
I prefer to blurt it out
when I should shut up and smile

Patience is a virtue, and
caution is wise, it's said
But I would rather rush in
where angels fear to tread
