Mills and (quite possibly a very real) Boon

Okay, this thing isn't on until October but I promised I'd give Michelle Styles (who we had on last week) that I'd give it a decent plug. It's a writing workshop called Commercial Women's Fiction - Taking your writing to the next level, and one would presume that it does what it says on the tin. The workshop is being run by the Masonic-sounding 'Northumberland Chapter of the Romantic Novelists' Association' and full blurbage follows after the jump.

COMMERCIAL WOMEN'S FICTION
Taking your writing to the next level.

A workshop for committed writers at ALL levels, by the Northumberland Chapter of the Romantic Novelists' Association (RNA).

Do you want to know the common mistakes writers make and how to avoid them?  How research can give that extra boost?  Are you reconsidering your writing career path, or thinking about changing genre?  Do you want to know how to take your writing from ordinary to extraordinary?  Are you looking for writing tips, encouragement or simply a chance to meet other like minds?

Come and hear our distinguished speakers challenge you to achieve the next level:

Wendy Robertson:

Once teacher and lecturer, now multi-published author of twentieth-century-set novels for Headline

Dr Hilary Johnson:
Runs her own Authors' Advisory Service and is a scout for a leading agent

Eileen Ramsay:
Successfully made the switch from regional sagas to bestselling contemporary women's fiction for Hodder

Kate Walker:

Award-winning author of books on how to write commercial fiction as well as over forty worldwide best sellers for Mills and Boon

The workshop will take place in the elegant, Georgian setting of the Assembly Rooms, Newcastle upon Tyne, on Saturday, 8th October 2005 10am - 4.30pm

£80 for RNA members, £90 for non-members. Includes lunch and refreshments

Special Rate for Early Booking
Book before 16th July for the special price of £70 (RNA members) or £80 (non-members)
