Casual Solitude

I live in a world without love
Where the word is absent
and the feeling is faceless

I live in a world without love.
Where there are no hugs and kisses
no gentle touch or fulfilling connection

I live in a world without love.
Where I go untouched for years
and human contact does not exist

So never take for granted;

the love you hold,

the lips you kiss,

the person you make love to,

the one who looks at you with hope,

the one who loves you unconditionally,

the smallest gestures of care,

If you  are not careful
the chance may never come again.

It puts me in mind of old people.
Especially in old people's homes.
In Germany
, they have begun to take dogs and cats into such homes so that old people have the chance to cuddle something!!!

A sad poem. I liked it very much.
We need more such writings to make the world aware of what its like to be AN UNTOUCHABLE111

Thank you marybarry :cry

Nice little poem, if a bit sad. Why are you in a world without love?

You must know dear Pandrop, that despite our artistic differences of opinion, I love you, very, very much. You amuse and intrigue me, you inspire and challenge me. Lovely.

If you want to find love, take off those blue-tinted shades and have a look around. There's pots of love on GW, enough to fill a 300 gig hard drive!

Oli ;)
