Football Ad

This came to me in my sleep and has stuck in my mind ever since.  I think it's a great idea for an advert and offer it here for anybody who wishes to make it (obviously I would retain all rights and reap the lion's share of the vast profits and kudos after you have invested the necessary time and effort that I can't be assed doing myself, obviously)

Please note I am a New Zealander and therefore know nothing about soccer (ok, football then).  So please don't comment that these people don't play in the same team or that there isn't a Euro 2005 or any other similar technicalities as this appears to be all the football knowledge my subconscious mind contains ok.

Scene 1: The camera sits high up in the corner of a dimly lit room looking across and down at an overweight man in a football shirt, (red and white striped - Arsenal? Manchester? Help me out here), who is holding a family sized pack of crisps in one hand while shovelling crisps in his mouth with the other.

The flickering light from a TV set located below the camera lights the scene.

Scene 2: The camera moves around the room (i.e. the camera maintains a fixed view but slides along the wall), dropping as it does so until it comes to rest behind and just above the man's head.

From this view we can see that the man is watching a football game.  The TV is audible but the main noise comes from the sound of crisps being eaten.

Scene 3: The camera dips behind the man's head and then moves forward through his hair and skull until we realise that we are looking out through the man's eyes.

The crunching of crisps being eaten is louder now.

Scene 4: On the TV we see Beckham making a break with the ball down the right hand sideline.  Suddenly the camera view shoots forward (making a whooshing sound) from the man's eyes and through the TV into the game, going into Beckham's head so the view is now through his eyes.  The camera work becomes jerky and unsteady - ala the type of effect used in ‘Band of Brothers'.  Beckham weaves his way down the field avoiding several tackles; small bits of mud are visible as they are flicked up from the player's boots.

As soon as the camera enters the TV the noise of the game increases dramatically, the roar of the crowd is pronounced, as is the rasping of Beckham's breath.

Beckham kicks the ball hard and we see from his eyes as the ball soars high across the field.

Scene 5: The camera pulls out of Beckham and climbs high above the stadium.  The action has puased and the ball is frozen in mid air.  The whole scene rotates under the camera until the camera is on the other side of the field and then with a whoosh the camera drops down and into Owen.

All sound stops for this bit.

Scene 6: The action starts again and from Owen's eyes we see Beckham's ball approach (The camera work has returned to its jerky motion and the noise returns like a slap in the face).  Owen takes control of the ball and runs with it towards the goal.  He dodges tackles and shoots, the ball rocketing past the keeper and slamming into the back of the net.  The crowd erupt and Owen extends his arms and runs back down the pitch.  We can just see his hands held out like a plane and see his teammates running towards him to celebrate.

Scene 7: The camera whooshes out of Owen and back out of the TV, backwards through the man's head and returns to it's starting position looking down at the man.  He has an incredibly stunned look on his face and is splattered with mud.  His hand is stopped halfway to his mouth still holding some crisps.

The sound has dropped again once the camera left the TV and the game, softly muted in the background, is the only noise.

A banner appears at the bottom of the screen reading -
