Here's one I wrote a few weeks ago and nearly threw away. Thought it would be worth a re-write.
A camera crew returning home after filming for a new David Attenborough series has reported seeing Jade Goody hunting in the River Ouzombo in East Angola.
Chief cameraman Graham described the incident. "We were filming this enormous herd of wildebeest as they were crossing the river. There were hundreds of them in this small stretch of water, with about 30 or 40 crocodiles waiting in ambush. Then some of the crocs started jostling with each other and splashing mud into each others eyes.
"At this point we noticed one of the crocs had an exceptionally large mouth and a very loud cockney accent. We instantly recognised her as Jade. She spotted a wounded calf that was struggling in the water and launched a vicious attack. Then she took it to the bank and hauled it out of the water. As soon as she spotted our cameras she snivelled 'I'm so sorry, hand on heart, I'm so ashamed of myself. I honestly don't approve of what I just done.'
"Then she dragged the carcass to this machine, cranked the handle and out came a large pile of gnu-burgers in sesame seed buns with pickled gherkins. One of the smaller crocs was coming a bit too close so she chased it away and swallowed all the burgers in one gulp."
We spoke to Sir David Attenborough after showing him footage of this year's Celebrity Big Brother. "This is not surprising, it is entirely natural behaviour for a large crocodile. Shilpa Shetty is young, healthy and nutritious and would have been completely unaware of the danger she was in. She would have been a particularly welcome addition to Jade's menu and can count herself extremely lucky that she's still in one piece."
Jade is currently working on a new cookery series aimed at promoting some of the less well known and more exotic cuisines of the world. It will be entitled 'Get Yer Teeth Inta This!'

Well I for one rather enjoyed that. I loved 'our' David's explanation of her behaviour, though for me she's always had an appearance more reminiscent of a hippo than a croc. And great inclusion of the word 'carcass' (though you misspelt it) I do love that word. Nice work Atticman. Funny & well worth reading. Cheers Givitsum

Yep, well worth the read. Some funny moments. Odd, she's always made me think: talentless waste of space. Phil |

Wonderfully surreal and a sharp comment to boot. Jade is the ultimate product of the media made by them and brought down by them. She only exists in front of a camera. A great concept, taken in a wild and crazy direction J |

So, not the Jade Goody Appreciation Society then? I'm almost starting to feel sorry for the poor lamb. Thanks for your advice on the word 'carcass' Givitsum. My dictionary says it can be spelt 'carcase' on this side of the pond, but your way seems to be more usual so I've changed it. Glad you enjoyed it as well Phil. And Jane, it's good to get your seal of approval - you've given a very good analysis of the faults in my previous works and that has been very useful. Cheers.

Apparently she's in India now, wonder if she's got a film crew with her? Very funny piece. Kathy |

| Thanks Kathy, it seems you're right about her visit to India. Looks like she's taking a holiday there. Or could be be taking up Woody's call centre job or doing a cookery programme? |

The thought of Jade doing a cookery programme in India is just too unsettling... What do you think that it wouid consist of - showing them how to unwrap a Big Mac after consuming 10 pints?! Kathy |

I understand she's quite partial to a curry so who knows?

| Gseat fun this. I don't think anybody can feel too sorry for her - she's bright enough to know how to make money. |

| Thanks Jean, glad you enjoyed. I'm sure she'll make the most of her notoriety and manage a come-back. |
