Happy New Year!
By Fledermaus
17 February 2007
The dog is gone
The pig arrived
The lion eats
A green lettuce
Dragons fly high
Red envelopes
Nice fireworks
And tasty food
Music and dance
A new spring comes
To greatwriting
To all of you
Happy New Year

Thanks Patricia (or did you change your name to Biddy). Good question, I'll look it up in my dictionary. I'm still learning Chinese, so I don't know that many words yet. A shame realy; as a large part of my roots are there...
Learning more Chinese... That's a good plan for the coming year :)

"Now I smell a secret. Put it in a story. "

A secret? None that I know of :P I just didn't learn it when I was a kid and, living in Holland, I didn't realy need it.
I could have gone to Chinese school, or learn it from family, but what kid wants to spend his saterdays learning?
Now I regret that I never took the trouble... :sigh

And I send you the following message:

In China, the Boar ( 豬 ) is associated with fertility and virility. To bear children in the year of the pig is considered very fortunate, for they will be happy and honest.

I wish you many, many happy and honest children Fledermaus.

Thanks Josie :) I think that's still a long way for me, but who knows. There'll be another year of the pig/boar in 12 years ;)
