Ordinary Stuff

Please kill me if I say

“let me be good enough”

what need is there to pray

for ordinary stuff?

I’ll die before I advocate

being adequate

or moderate

or feeling fortunate

Some days I may feel rough

life may be getting tough

but please don’t let me pray

for ordinary stuff

You go for it sweetie, I really liked the sentiment
Short, sharp and to the point
Good to see you back

Good to see you back Oli. Like the sentiment, but I have to confess to occasionally offering silent hopes that I'll just get through the day.

Enjoyed, made me smile.

I know what you mean. A nice (I hesitate to say prayer but can't think of a better word). I liked it.
