The world of a screensaver is strange, and unrealistic. It has no boundaries, or space, and floats upon the very fabric of an alternate universe. I'm here to explain what staring into oblivion is all about for those of you who don't spend time pressing all the buttons on your computer, and become entranced bythe hypnotizing spell of...OBLIVION!
Oblivion-what is it?
I can only explain it as the emptiness of colors floating around a space of no boundaries, a break in the time and fabric of other dimensions. It is like a spell that is cast upon you, and causes you to stare at the strange and wonderfully entrancing images before you. and what we all agree is familiar about it, is that it floats in a black void, too closely related to the vacuum of space itself. It leaves a feeling within your soul that can only be described as...spaciness, hypnotism, and enchantment.
This oblivion-is it good, or bad?
oblivion is neither good, nor bad, it just is. It is like someone who isn't good or bad, or dead or alive, or boy or girl, or-well, you get the idea. You must understand that oblivion simply cannot be anything, because it is a curse of technology. created by computers to take over the world with its hypnotizing shapes and colors on a deadly color called...BLACK! As a result, the world depends on technology, and is rulled by its array of softwares under a rainbow of colored LED lights! WE MUST OVERCOME!!!
My Computer, Why Hast Thou Forsaken Me Under Thine Evil LED Lights?!!: the key to destroying the grip that screensavers had curst us with.
The oblivion of your screensaver has nearly swallowed you whole, and you've nowhere to turn! What must you do to loosen the hold? simply press a button, or tap ypur mouse! Now, thou hast truly been saved! WE HAVE OVERCOME! now, you must keep its horrible hypnotic spell away from yourself, and you must us a boring screensaver if you must! you may have won the battle, but not the war!

Hypnotized by your screensaver? That's a new one. This is not realy a story, but it is enjoyable. Have you ever seen '2001: A space odysee' ? The last scenes of that movie are like your screensaver, and it seemes that when the film was first in the cinema in the 1970s, people got in some sort of trance as a result. Especially hippies seemed to enjoy it |

Sorry Mr Wolffe, but what are you on? It could be that I'm just not intelligent enough to appreciate this, but I couldn't see any point to it at all. Again, sorry. Hopefully others will disagree with me. Phil. |

Can this be the same person who wrote Silver Moon? A much better effort and weird enough to be interesting, but i really do wish that you'd use YOUR BUTTONS to greater effect...spell check for instance. It appears that ypur curst by your own evil computer. "Oblivion, it is total destruction, it is what i'd like to do to my PC sometimes." "Oblivion, it is a colourles void that floats in infinate space. White light and dark matter combined. The product of this union is blended with pixels on a pixillated pallet and then burnt onto your retinas through your 21" flat screen monitor. And who says that size isn't important?" Keep up the good work T.W. P.S. if you ever want to reply to your critics, you can do so by posting it as a review against your own work. Or by criticising theirs!! |
