Fake Endings
By Harrywilo

Hmm. My 'Short Short Stories' didn't go down too well; these fake endings are similar, but i do, personally think, they are better. You will only understand the penultimate ending, if you have seen the Hitchcock film Vertigo...i really didn't understand that ending...

...and as the vicar pulled the bloodstained knife out Winnie the Pooh's chest, he gently said to Snow White, with a shrug of his shoulders: "That's the way the cookie crumbles."
THE END

...and so, human beings became extinct and platypus-kind took control of the Earth.
THE END

The penguin, Dave the dog and little Dennis never spoke of that night in the brothel again.
THE END

So the US of A saved the world, single handedly, again; god bless them.
THE END

Tony and George lived happily ever after.
THE END

...and they lived happily ever after...well, until the pressure of twenty years more life and having three children made Jill look worse for the wear, forcing Roger to have an affair, which subsequently led to their divorce and Roger becoming HIV positive.
THE END

James and Kim were suddenly startled by the nun, who quietly appeared from the shadows, at the top of the bell tower; "I heard voices," she said, flatly, which made Kim scream and stumble back, falling over the edge of the tower to her death.
"What was that all about?" James asked, a frown on his face.
THE END

George gave a cheesy smile and said to the children; "So, kids; the moral of the story is, if you can't beat them...cheat."
THE END

'I can never understand why some people have to take literature so seriously,' said Shakespeare. 'I only do it 'cos I'm bored.'
'I know the feeling!' said Jackie Collins as she rolled over and went to sleep.

Don't let them grind you down.

Keep up the good work.

Oh of course...it's the Vertigo thing. To be honest, I'd prefer the James and Kim one without the Vertigo explanation...made me chuckle before I'd made the Vertigo connection. Guess that's just me though.

lol, well maybe i thought it needed the explanation, else it would seem too random. Although i thought it was random enough in the actual film...does anyone know what the ending to Vertigo was all about? Did i just miss the point completely?
