Place names in writing
By Blackcat

I would like a little advice on using place names in fiction writing.  Is it considered OK to use real names of towns and cities or best to stick to ficticious ones?  I sometimes feel I want to put in real places, so the reader can relate to the place in the story - but then I'm not sure if this is wise to do so. Maybe it is best that fiction be kept with fiction.

The best place to ask this question really would be in the forum.

This section is more for essays offering advice, rather than questions. You'll get a much better response to a question posted in the forum :)

cheers,
