To the Ends of the World
By LilGryphMaster
23 March 2005
A poem about devotion, hope, and blind love. I was a very desperate child...

You're the reason I'm here
In the middle of nothing
Lying in the dust for you

After you left me
So many years ago
I was devoted to finding you

Crawling in the Desert of Time
Drifting in the Sea of the Damned
I searched for you

To the ends of the world
In the depths of the Earth
I traveled for you

Through thick and thin
Through fire and brimstone
I suffered for you

Up in the heavens and down in the fiery depths of hell
In the etheral clouds and the dark, burning pits
I died for you

No matter where I went
I never found what I was searching for
I spent my life for you

You're lost forever
In another place and time
Never again will I see you

Nicely done

Too often a poem with this sort of subject is overlong and too maudlin but this is nicely spare with some good imagery.
spidey

Not really for me this. A bit melodramatic I guess. Subject doesn't suit me - not to say its bad cause it isn't. Tight and closely oberved in terms of language and poetry,

Good luck!
