I think Radio 4 is what England is all about. Gardeners question time, From our own correspondent, the Today programme, and of course, being an island... I had dogged her all evening and plied her with Baileys. Tonight I was a fisher, my silver tongue weaved a fast net to hold her; my sole prey. She was in her forties and was fair to good. I listened to her lilt from across the Irish Sea (had she set forth from Shannon?). As we staggered from Trafalgar Square towards the Thames she still seemed a tad cromarty towards me. And though my eyes roamed over her body from North to South Utsire, yet still she was as cold as Southeast Iceland. I resigned myself. Tonight I was going to get Rockall. |

Doe Cape Wrath still figur in the forcast? Clever and funny. Lizzy | Written by stevetroster (1601 comments posted) 23rd April 2007 | She still sounds like a bit of an old dogger to me. Very clever Mr.S. | Written by Phil (6997 comments posted) 23rd April 2007 | Nice little turn - and I agree with your intro too. I enjoy listening to Brian whatshisname waffling on about pigeons and bendy buses when he's supposed to be comentating on the test match at the Oval - the crusty old fart. (Or do I mean Henry Blowfelt (p) Either way, I enjoy it, and he's a crusty old fart. Enjoyed, especially the dogging - although wouldn't you have had to give her the Bailey's first? Radio 4 is truly a national treasure E |
