Radish v's Carrot
By Talisker
24 April 2007
The radish though reddish

sporadically fed dish

the carrot by far out

does it

In beta carotene

so night steps can be seen

and I don’t trip and fall

in the closet!

Carrots any day of the week - although radishes are good in a packed lunch when hiking - especially for throwing at over inquisitive sheep when you're sat on a narrow ledge or steep incline.

Enjoyed,

Phil.

A cute little poem, it's nice to see your playful side. I think this is definitely one to put up on the cash machine to amuse the customers

I heard the whole carrots-are-good-for-the-eyes thing was just a hoax started by the RAF to fool the Germans, as they pondered why the British could drop their bombs so precisely at night, which was because of radar rather than carrots of course...
Yet a nice poem indeed, and maybe if you do as BBS says, the sales of carrots will increase?
Agreed

A nice little fun poem. Definitely one to put up in the supermarket by the veggies. I think we should see fun poems posted more often in various places - - especially dentists' and doctors' surgeries. My Bluebells poem has been on ward 9 of Airedale Hospital for 10 years now, and I'm told that people love it. I nearly died in that ward, and wanted to say "thank you" to them for their care. Far better than notices: "Have you suffered ----------- " and then defence lawyers getting you to put in claims etc. Witzl: Your dandelion poem has many places waiting for it to be posted, ha ha.

I love this little rhyme. It's the sort of thing you memorise and say to yourself whenever you are chopping carrots or radishes. Or is that just me? :roll
I didn't understand the second line though "sporadically fed dish" what does it mean?
