The Edge
By LilGryphMaster

Here's a depressing poem.. I don't really know what it's about.. Perhaps the feelings of a mid-life crisis.. Or an old man with nothing left.

I walked to the edge
Peered down in the depths
I saw myself at the bottom
A mangled mess

Questions poured into my mind
Madness seeped out through my eyes
My heart shrivled slowly
In it's cage...

I fell to my knees

The world flashed like a bulb
Life passed me by
My hair turned gray
My skin wore thin
The shadows crept closer

The sun was falling
Night's moon rising
My sight was fading
Along with my memories

Down I went...
Over the edge
