a little bit of gratitude
By myopic
09 May 2007
if you are looking for
Something to thank for that mysterious,
Once in an infinite fucking amount of infinities
Type of thing
Take your pick of
The infinite amount of things all around you
All the time

(
even when
you’re not
looking
)

and you don’t have to
choose just one
(holy shit!)
even though that is a popular,
Christian
Trend.

Fucking listen to me:
If you’re not satisfied,
You have every right to
Want
Something,
Anything,
Please.

This (or 'Certain Life') doesn't have that extra bit of something that your first had. In fact I'm at a bit of a loss. Could be me I guess. I don't think the short lines combined with sometimes vague, sometimes opaque sometimes directly didactic statements helps. Perhaps a real poet would disagree with me - but I'd take a lot of convincing - sorry.
