Grace Over Death

without me, you think the world would fall apart
without me, you think you wouldn't exist

you love me in fear
you love me in angst

you turn to me when you have no one else to turn to
you turn to me when you are close to death

you think i will answer your prayers
you think i listen, don't you?

i am not here for you
i am nonexistent

you created me in your own cowardice
you created me in your lack of ambition

my purpose is for you live your life in negligence
my purpose is to nullify

don't blame me
this is all your fault

I have a happy knack of misinterpreting poetry, but if this is about what I think it is - you put it across very well. Particularly liked: you created me in your lack of ambition in this context.

i tried to make the subject as obvious as i could without blatantly giving it away. even if you pay close enough attention you could find the topic in the the title of the poem.

(i am) nonexistent ? How does that work then?

Isn't it: GRACE OVER DEATH - GOD ?

I have never accepted the existence of God, yet if some people choose to believe, and by doing so it helps them to lead a better life, then let them have their belief.
The ones that I have a problem with, are those who believe in a God, and use their belief to inflict pain and suffering upon others.

Best wishes
Steve.

(i am) nonexistent is basically a paradox.
