Flashing Lights
By sara
25 July 2005
Works day in day out every year
Gets stressed up and gets run down
Life's mundane, she gets depressed
The weekend comes, she hits the town

Only lives on Saturday nights
In search of fun and flashing lights

Only works to earn her money
Every day clocks in, clocks out
Working like a brain dead robot
She wonders what life is all about

Only lives on Saturday nights
In search of fun and flashing lights

She's had enough, has to escape
Decides she'll fly away
To some remote island in the sun
But that must be some other day

Only lives on Saturday nights
In search of fun and flashing lights

She feels happy and fulfilled
Life's much better than it seems
She's smiling and excited,
but only in her distant dreams

Only lives on Saturday nights
In search of fun and flashing lights
