Fallen Star
By bobette
28 May 2007
A little star fell down from the midnight sky
Lay alone upon the grass, she began to cry
Listening to the laughter from above
Feeling foolish for believing that she even could
Achieve her dreams before they were born
She never got chance to prove them wrong
"Your not beautiful enough, come back when you are.
When you're strong enough to take the pressure
Of being a true star"
But looking up made her feel proud
She wouldn't be just a face in the crowd
Showing them her talent was truly unique
She softly sung the moon to sleep.

Lovely

Your imagery is lovely. Yes, I guess we all feel insignificant in this world, and when you look at the stars on a clear night and think of the universe around us, we seem to be as significant as a grain of sand on a beach. So a little encouragement and love from others is what lifts us up and makes us feel a "true star". Just a little appreciation sometimes is what is needed. Here's my little bit.
