Sarcasm pure and simple.
“Good evening, we are here with a breaking news story at the 6 o’clock hour. We go now live to the White House for more from our Washington reporter Fibber McSleazy. Fibber.” “Thank you Liarley. We are live in the White House press room where we have been told President Big Oil is going to be making an announcement. We are not really sure on what he will be announcing but…..oh here he is now.” “Thank you ladies and gentlemen of the press for coming here tonight. I would like to tell America of our solution to the need for more soldiers in the Iraq war and for the border problems we are having. Now towards the war we have come up with a plan to deploy more of Americas youths to fight terrorism and to try to bring democracy to Iraq. We have already sent out deployment instructions to all Boy Scout troops in the Western Region. All of the Southern Region and the Central Region Boy Scout troops are on standby. As you all know I was once a Boy Scout but I never was lucky enough to go off camping with them because I had college finals every time. And now on to the issues of the border we are in the final stages of negotiations with the government of Mexico for them to become the state of Old Mexico. Since there is already a New Mexico I figured that was the best name for it. All they asked for in trade was Paris Hilton and that little Chihuahua from the Taco Bell commercials. I am one fine negotiator. America you can now rest peacefully because all our problems are solved. Thank you and good night.” “Well Liarley that seems to be all he wants to say tonight and I would just like to say how lucky we are to have a man with such intellect as our president. Back to you at the studio.” “Next we have our report on how high gas prices is actually good for us after this commercial break.” |

Particularly liked: All they asked for in trade was Paris Hilton and that little Chihuahua from the Taco Bell commercials Phil. | Written by Bottleblondesurfer (3362 comments posted) 30th May 2007 | Nothing wrong with sarcasm,T2M. I take it you're not a fan of "W" then?. A fine bit of angry vitriol with a few humourous touches. Phil has brought up a good point. On this side of the pond we take a more relaxed attitude to "W" and see him as an incoherent imbecile who can't string two words together: as an example we might have done that speech a bit like this :- We have found a dilution to the problemification of Iraq-istan-shire and the pungent need for more armed forces to whup them towel heads good. I have decided not to send the National Guard. They are needed right here, in case the niggers get uppity again… [fiddles with earpiece] …sorry I meant in-view-of-increased-need-for-homeland-security. Any hoo they ain’t going. We decided we needed some fresh blood and, well dang me, they don’t come much fresher than the boy scouts. No-one fights terror like those little terrors. Have you seen the little bast….[he winces and fiddles again with ear-piece] bastions of democracy at summer camp. Hell, they scare the shit out of me. If they can’t beat that Putin then…[puts hand to ear-piece again] ..if they can’t beat that Ladin then no-one can……Etc etc etc You obviously take that man more seriously than we do and perhaps you know best cheers Jane

He seems to have got Mexico a bit too easily and there must be something else going on. Perhaps he has a few nuclear missiles pointing at them. Cheers
| "They do things differently there ..... Written by Bagheera (683 comments posted) 30th May 2007 | No apologies for stealing a quote!! Same or different, we on this side of The Pond have the most unedifying picture of TB doing his World Farewell Tour, gladhanding everyone he can think of (at OUR expense!!). Today (Wed 30/5) he was made a Freeman of Sierra Leone (?????!!?????????) for his role [!!!????!!!] in bringing PEACE to the region ...... did I blink and miss something significant over the last 10 years?? | Written by wltshr (316 comments posted) 2nd June 2007 | Ah!!! Rage and a pen. What a happy marriage. Strange how the attitude to Bush and Blair seem so different between here and there. Even so, we recognise very quickly that these people are pillocks who shouldn't be entrusted with a prefect's badge and then vote them in more than once. Is it me? Regards Wltshr |
