Nightwalkers (The Poem)
By n1ghtwalker
05 June 2007
This poem is to support a story called ‘Nightwalkers’ that I am currently working on. Its all about a man named Jenson and his struggle to deal with his alien abduction experiences. Is he just having nightmares due to his stressful occupation as a police officer or is something really happening to him when the lights go off at bedtime?

Nightwalkers by P W Willocks

05-06-2007
Silent and graceful they enter my space
I suddenly awaken to see a terrifying face

Cold and emotionless peering into my eyes
My body frozen yet wanting to cry

I know what awaits me but what can I do?
Paralysed with fear my family don’t have a clue

If only they knew what awaits in the night
They would probably just laugh but I will continue my fight

For 25 years now I’ve endured mental pain
I’d give anything I own never to see them again

To be alone and afraid is all I’ve ever known
I can’t believe how unsafe I feel in my own home

So off they take me out into the light
I wonder what awaits me all I feel is the fright

Lay naked on metal surrounded by ghouls
I feel them cutting me with their specialist tools

I close my eyes and wish I was dead
The next thing I know I wake up in my bed

The morning has broken and all around me is calm
I thank myself lucky they did me no harm

I know for certain I will see them again
But for now it’s all over an end to the pain.
