Scene 3 Scene Description: A school hallway. (Lights on. PRINCIPAL BAILEY is standing slightly off center-stage. Trisha runs in from stage-left and smashes into him) Principal Bailey: Whoa! Trisha: Ahhh! (Trisha and Principal Bailey both recover from the collision and stand up) Principal Bailey: Just what do you think you're doing, Ms. Smith? You should be in class, young lady! Trisha: I was... um... practicing for cross-country tonight. Principal Bailey: Well, the hallway isn't the best place for it, don'tcha think? Trisha: Well, yeah,. but... Principal Bailey: I don't want to hear any excuses, just get back to class. Trisha: Okay... (Principal Bailey heads off to stage left. Trisha continues running off stage right. Principal Bailey looks back and sees her running again) Principal Bailey: HEY! What did I just say! Come back here! (Principal Bailey sprints off stage right) Black out
