From my watch to Cairo
By Richie
17 June 2007
The idea came to me for this one when i experienced time was much slower when in Cairo in 1988.
It is believed that Cairo was once the centre of the world's landmass.

Oh, people
They're rushing, crushing and pushing
They're cars.

Getting nowhere on time.

They're like cars
And the cars are like the people who drive them!

....where they came from puzzles me.
Those mystic travellers from across the sea....

Their dark-vague eyes
A-wander through
Like a penance of an ancient crew.

To be here is nearer nature.

People are like the cars that they drive
People are like the dogs that they own
Yet curiously Rover went out of business!
Has there ever
Been a clearer
Portent of doom?

i've already been told this work is "excellent" and "brings a whole new perspective from which to look at life."
i'm pleased you read the many images. Now you must begin to see them in your own minds eye.

Hmm this piece does seem a bit muddled to me. Your ideas aren't fully connected, which is where the confusion comes from. Try selecting one idea and developing it, you'd be surprised where the mind can take you.
Revisit Cairo.

Excellent my arse! Whoever told you that needs to get an emergency apointment at Specsavers. While you could enlist on an LSC Basic Literacy Course.

Pedantic gibberish!

Wake up and grow up!

Slan!
