Long Tall Latte

This gusty day I sit me down I sip I pause I stop to frown
Eye focus on a million words before me start to dance around
The page is white the sky is blue the coffee froth to pull me through Good buddy comes sits with me, ten minutes then he must adieu
Then something shiny passes by me, eye candy, he man be, he sits right down
My frown it dissipates, the coffee percolates attention contemplates
The words are scrambling, my thoughts are rambling, he pulls out his pencil I get my eyeful, behind my book, a sneaky peak I steal a look or more
A massive pumping in my ears, noises pictures atmosphere
It’s concrete, true that I am here, but in my head I disappear, into my book
The words surround me...All hail caffeine! Lust confounds me.
