I wasn't having a good day when I penned this one... They lurk,
Hiding in the shadows.
Jealousy
Fear
Insecurity
Awaiting their chance
Feeding opportunistically
The age old enemies of reason and moderation,
Corrosive, destructive and toxic
They await our passing remarks
Our chance actions
To strike
They prowl in the shadows of the mind
The deep recesses from which we recoil
Not wishing to admit to their existence.|
