If the cat fits, wear it. (Lazy Writers)
By Phil
30 June 2007
For (very) Lazy Writers. More dire verse.

If the cat fits, wear it.

Sadness ruled when the cat bit the dust.
To keep a memento was really a must.
A lazy and greedy but much loved cat,
Skinned and cured made a bloody good hat.

I knew that somebody would find a use for cats someday, I wish I'd thought of this.

Oh, what a rotten lot you are! I love cats.

Hope I didn't start you off with the dire verses of snippets!
It is such fun to make these little verses up. I thought this was great. I feel some more snippets coming on - hope I'm not drummed out of the GW

Phil,
THis piece just appeared in the random listings on the left of the page, & I had to look!
Dire, I think, is hardly harsh ENOUGH!
But it certainly has made me smile.
You are very considered in YOUR reviews; and I think that is much to be admired.
Got myself in a bit of a tangle last week, unfortunately, but it was heartening to see that somewhere you had written just a few words - if not agreeing outright with my foolish and UNconsidered phrase - that there IS a paucity of 'better' writing, shall we say.
But as a newcomer it is easy to be too inflammatory too soon. I hate to see the language murdered.
Perhaps it is your profession that has taught you to see all the angles. There are definitely lessons to be learnt - from a teacher!
Even for someone from Ramsbottom!
(Well, sort of!)
