Words & Silence

Not a gushy romantic thing.

You can remain silent.

I am compelled to elaborate.

Words are my only hope.

I cannot form thoughts and fears

into a lump to throw away.

Silence is your blanket

to hide beneath.

Words are my bowling-ball

to balance upon.

I really like this poem. It's short, simple and not gushy. Thumbs up!
