Writer’s Block
By DevotedWriter

It was because of Writer's Block I was able to come up with this!
Please note: the lack of punctuation and capital letters in the first stanza is actually intentional.

tick tock…tick tock…
the clock sounds – writer’s block
tap…tap…tap
the pen hits the thinking cap –
a plain white sheet…

A heavy sigh of frustration,
A lion roars,
The pen vibrates with inspiration,
Bang! The opening of doors –
A patterned white sheet!

Normally I'm not so fond of sound-effects in writing, but here it works. If you write this while having a writer's block, I'm curious what you write without one.

It's an odd thing. You wouldn't get away with it in any other profession. You don't get teacher's block or social workers block or electrician's block.
You couldn't ring in and say "I can't come in I've got vet's block"
Mind you it's a pity Tracy Emin doesn't get artist's block.
You obviously haven't got it, clever piece

Wouldn't it be impossible for TM to get artist's block?

I'm not a fan of writing about writing, but this worked okay for me.
