For Sue, who knows so much. Just adding to the fun, here.
So man is happier married .
And woman is happier free .
I know that it’s true.
Cos I heard it from Sue.
She's left it too late to tell me.

And to think of all the bollockings you have dished out to me for sticking nose in the poetry morgue! And here you are as bold as brass hob-nobbing yourself! Good start, am sure a 'lady' of your talents could have expanded on it though....? Is the lovely LynB still knocking about? |

For somebody who don't Do Poetry you're not half bad! I bet Nina is busy copying them all down for that wedding she's going to. Nice one Jane! |

Love it! I think she had that about right! Yes, Givitsum, I'm still knocking about! If you saw a photo of me, you certainly wouldn't describe me as lovely, but thank you, anyway! I have posted up one of my efforts - not as good as yours, Jane, but I tried! |

Longer living she said. Not happier, did she? Ironic that the cliche suggests that women are desperate to get married, and men to stay free then |

Ah come on LynB, I'm sure you're just being modest. You're what's known in Cyberspace as a tidy bit of kit! Sorry for using your review section as an online pick up joint here BB. Anyway, as Brook Rivers once said, lets get on with the writing! Mind you, she also said that Welsh were funny, so that's how much gorm we should take of her mutterings. Probably. G. |

Tidy bit of kit? I've never been called that before! Still, I can learn to live with it.... |

I was going to take this off as G shamed me but the reviews are so hilarious it would be a shame to lose them Brook never said that, you just made it up, mind, I think she did say the Welsh were funny so anything is possible. Hey you just brought Lyn out of hiding so maybe the Givitsum charm will winkle out Brook too. Bit of a ladies man on the quiet. Jane

After all that, it seems daft to mention your piece: enjoyed it. What happened to Brook anyway? Phil. |

| Ha Ha - you wouldn't think it by all the "broken heart" poems written by women. They say that married people are "happier" too - but I don't know that it is true. Is David Cameron doing the right thing when he is driving everyone into marriage? Good poem Jane. |

| I was looking for something you had written that I hadn't read, and came up with half an hour's worth of entertainment. I wonder what I was doing when all this fun was going on. |

I like the humor in this one! Very clever indeed. And it is funny how common people think to be that it is women who want to be married and men want to be free - but it is women who divorce their husbands more often!!!!!! Anyway, humorous and cheeky indeed. I like it!
