Frosted denim and hooped earrings - that's my Mum

Run us the shop

And get bacon

For your new uncle

There’s change in me handbag

You can walk to school

Take three penguins for your dinner

His brother does up bikes you know

Who knows, you could get yer bony arse on one

If I can impress him

With a couple a slices of best back

And sober sex before nine

Run us the shop darlin'

There’s a Princess

Never been much impressed with sober sex - much prefer the drunken variety.

I like this as a piece of writing; don't think it's a poem though! But having said that, you could write what I know about poetry on the head of a pin!

For me, this flowed perfectly, fitting theme and words. I don't suppose sophisticated figurative language would suit mother's delivery.

Liked it.

Poor Princess.
