I don't usually visit this section, so I guess I must be one of the hypocrites Brett mentions, but I just wanted to congratulate you Wendy, on your publication. I like the cover too. Very well done!

Having received and read my copy I just wanted to say that it's a really wonderful group of poems. Magical yet grounded in the pain and beauty of life. Thanks Wendy and Prole (although you did make me cry). I hope you sell plenty. Writers need readers!

I received my copy of Wendy's book today. It's lovely, a truly wonderful selection of her delicately written poems, that I hope everyone will take the chance to hold and read. I love it.

My only disappointment was that the envelope it came in was a bit too flimsy to withstand our postman shoving it through the letterbox with the other mail we received today, and it ended up somewhat mangled. I was quite sad about this, as I like to keep these sorts of treasure in pristine condition. Perhaps a stronger envelope would help. Just a suggestion.

You know, that's true, I assumed it was just my postman being rough. But mine actually arrived open, as the glue on the envelope didn't seem strong enough...

I'm going to get another one for my Mum's Christmas present so hopefully there'll have been a new batch of envelopes brought in by then ;)

PS As part of her Christmas present, should I say, she is worth more than £4.50

My envelope was open too. I thought someone had ripped it open. Katy, when your mum reads it, I don't think she will care about the price. It will be a lovely present. I'm going to get another one too. Dx

aaarrggg. Just seen this thread. I got my copy this morning. Our postman must wear kid gloves and be of a more sensitive nature generally as it arrived pristine.

It is a great pamphlet Wendy, you have much to be proud of. And thought Prole has done a fantastic job in producing it.It's very professional. Feel guilty now for not noticing this thread before. *hangs head in shame*
Will, as penance, and on the strength of Wendy's verse order Robert pamphlet too. Brett & Phil's judgement seems pretty good so far.
(And am liking the Xmas pressie idea - its gotta be better than the queues at Westfield!)
