Hello, fellpony...

This reminder to join the WAYB 2012 Competition was posted almost three months ago, and fortunately for me, I browsed older posts to get information and be acquainted with the site. (I joined only last November 2).

I am writing an entry now and I was wondering if it would be all right to post it here first for advice and critiquing? Or would that be tantamount to cheating--to have professional writers/authors review and evaluate an entry before submission? Just a thought, though...In the same manner I was intrigued by your username--you're the only one in colour! :)

Thanks for the time,

Hi 1950strangers
On phpBB forums, colours denote admin responsibilities - super admin IDs show in red, moderator IDs in grey. Just so you know.

Read the rules on the WAYB site to see what's allowed and what's not. In classic rule-reading, "everything not forbidden is permitted" :)

Don't worry about cheating by having "pro writers" offer you advice. If you count how many members here qualify for that title by making a living by writing, you still get a big fat zero. There are six or seven who are published either in poetry/short story journals or as novelists (If anyone knows differently, please post on one of the Chat forums as we'd love to know pour encourager les autres.)

Any advice that's given is just that, advice, not the word of God. You take it or you leave it, at your judgement.

It's me again, fellpony...

That was a super fast reply! (Of course, only a super admin can do that! :D I wasn't expecting an immediate response, and I'm grateful for your attention and time.)

I will check again the rules, and thanks for the encouragement re posting an entry here and seeking advice.

Wish me luck, and more power,
